Musician and author
Nikki Sixx of Mötley Crüe and Sixx:A.M. was recently
honored at Covenant House California’s 9th annual
Awards Gala held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The
highlight of the evening was a check presentation of
$250,000 to Covenant House by honoree Nikki Sixx.
Sixx is donating a portion of proceeds from his New
York Times best-selling book The Heroin Diaries:
A Year In The Life Of A Shattered Rock Star to
benefit Running Wild In The Night, a creative arts
program he created for Covenant House California at
their youth shelters in Los Angeles and Oakland.
This summer, Sixx will make stops in the U.S. and
Canada, performing with both of his bands, Mötley
Crüe and Sixx:A.M. as a part of Crüe Fest, the
loudest show on earth, also featuring performances
by Buckcherry, Papa Roach, and Trapt. For more
