Santogold
will make a special appearance, performing
live at the Hollywood & Highland central
courtyard (6801 Hollywood Blvd), followed by
a CD signing in the Virgin Megastore at
Hollywood & Highland on Monday, June 9th at
6pm. Fans can purchase the CD at Virgin
Megastore to receive a wristband and have it
signed by Santogold. This will be
Santogold’s first performance in Los Angeles
since the release of her smash self-titled
album on Downtown/Lizard King in April.
Santogold,
the album, was met with universal acclaim
and praise for it’s genre-defying sound that
re-imagines new wave, pop, punk, dub,
dancehall and electro. Radio programmers and
music supervisors have championed the album
with many stations playing the first single
“L.E.S. Artistes” and tracks from the album
landing in shows from The Hills to
Entourage. Her sets at SXSW and Coachella
became highlights of both festivals.
Following this special in-store event,
Santogold will headline New York’s Central
Park SummerStage on July 20th
before hitting the road with the Rock the
Bells Tour throughout July and August.
